US group Boston Partners has opened an office in London, UK, in order to bolster its Ucits fund business.
The value equity specialist, a subsidiary of Dutch group Robeco, has named portfolio manager Joshua Jones as the leader of its London-based investment team. It has appointed William Pawson, senior product specialist, to oversee its distribution.
The new office will help support over $14 billion in sub-advised Ucits assets under management, as well as $2.2 billion in separately managed accounts across nine Europe-based institutional clients, the group said in a statement.
London team leader Jones added: 'As clients seek better visibility to understand Boston Partners’ investment edge, our proximity to key European markets will help clients recognize the value of the firm’s tested, ‘three-circle’ approach to active management.'
The group's three-circle approach consists in using bottom-up valuation analysis, fundamental quality and business momentum along with thorough quant screening.
