Aqua Wealth Management has hired three new investment specialists to grow its Uruguayan and Brazil-based teams.
The Montevideo-based wealth management firm currently runs over $1 billion in assets for clients in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Two of the new recruits, Eliza Shinoda and Rafael Colen, have joined its São Paulo, Brazil office and will work alongside team leader Gustavo Jesus.
Shinoda has 12 years investment experience and was previously a senior investment analyst for Safdié Family Office in Brazil and has also worked as a risk analyst for Infinity Asset Management. Colen recently completed an MBA at University of California, Los Angeles in the United States.
The third arrival is Alejandro Galiana, a former Scotiabank risk analyst who is joining Ismael Pérez’s investment team in Montevideo where he will focus on the analysis of offshore investment opportunities. Galiana has over 10 years investment experience and had been with Scotiabank for the last four years.
Aqua Wealth Management was founded by José Pedro Varela in 2009 and earlier this year opened an office in Miami to expand to the US offshore industry.
