Fidelity International has hired a co-portfolio manager for its multi-asset team, the company has announced.
Chris Forgan will join 34 other members of the UK group's multi-asset team in September. He will work with the existing income team, led by Eugene Philalithis, and will report to James Bateman, chief investment officer for multi-assets.
Forgan will join the firm from Janus Henderson Investors, where he managed multi-asset funds for more than 13 years. Prior to this he was a senior performance analyst at First State Investments between November 1999 and October 2005.
Commenting on the appointment, Bateman said: ‘Chris' appointment reflects the continued expansion of Fidelity's £40bn multi-asset business in line with growing client demand for multi-asset solutions.
‘Fidelity's multi-asset income franchise, led by portfolio manager Eugene Philalithis and supported by the broader team of 34 investment professionals, has delivered consistently strong performance and substantial asset growth. The addition of another highly experienced manager enables the team to continue to meet client expectations and support further asset growth globally.’
