Overview

Rémy Marcel makes his debut earning an AA rating. This achievement is based on his three years risk-adjusted performance on the Ocean Fund Equities Eastern Europe fund that he has been managing with Carleen Sobczyk since June 2015.

During his management the fund has returned 17.9 %. This compares to a 6.5 % rise by average manager over the same period in euro terms.

Overview

First awarded a rating by Citywire in October 2016, GAM Investment Management's head of emerging markets Erdinç Benli has gained an AA rating this month. Benli has earned his rating based on the performance of the Julius Baer EF Eastern Europe Focus fund that he has been managing since November 2013. Over the last three years, he has returned 11.7 % in euro terms which compares to a return of 6.5% by the average manager in the equities - emerging markets Europe sector.

The fund aims to provide a long-term capital growth by investing primarily in companies in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region.

According to the most recent factsheet, the biggest sectors in the fund include financials at 29.1%, energy at 23.7% and consumer staples at 12.8%.
