Credicorp Capital fund selector Felipe Becerra Zapata has left the group’s Colombian division to take on a new challenge in commercial real estate, Citywire Americas has learned.
The senior investment analyst is set to leave Friday and has been with the group for almost three years where he worked on its Bogotá-based fund selection team alongside Christiam Echeverry and team leader Angela Maria Fina.
He is leaving the investment industry to join global commercial real estate group Colliers where he is set to help work on new product ideas.
His investment responsibilities at Credicorp will be taken on by his former colleague David Cely, an portfolio manager who has previously worked with Echeverry and Fina on the investment team.
Becerra was recently featured in Citywire's fund selector Coffee Date feature.
Credicorp Capital is the asset and wealth management subsidiary of Peruvian financial services group Credicorp. It is a leading investment group in the Andean region with offices in Peru, Chile and Colombia.
In December last year the group’s Colombian office also saw the departure of Nicolás Jiménez, who worked on its fixed income sales and trading team. He joined a Miami-based broker-dealer which is an affiliate of a large Colombian financial services company.
