BNY Mellon Wealth Management has hired former PNC and Merrill Lynch international advisor Esteban Colon as a new wealth director.
Colon joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s New York and Northern New Jersey team with $200 million in client assets. He advises both domestic and international clients.
He will be based in New York City and report into managing director Katia Friend.
Colon joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management from PNC Private Bank where he spent just under a year from November 2014 to December 2015.
Prior to PNC, Colon was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a global international financial advisor in New York and, before that, as business finance officer and head of financial planning and analysis for Latin America.
Colon’s recruitment follows that of two recent appointments at BNY Mellon. In June the firm hired former Merrill Lynch fund selector Jasmine Yu to the role of director of manager research and and promoted London-based Jeroen Kwist to oversee and better integrate its international wealth management offering.
