About Tobias Klein
Tobias Klein started out as a capital markets research analyst at J.P. Morgan Investment Management KAG in 1991, and was promoted to the role of portfolio manager two years later. His time with First Private Investment Management began when he moved to what was then Salomon Brothers KAG in 1996. The group subsequently became a part of Citigroup, and was then taken private by way of a management buy out in March 2003. Klein quickly climbed the corporate ladder heading quant research, equities and portfolio management before taking on his current role of MD of Investments in 2001. His key fund is the EUROPA Aktienfonds ULM FP for which he relies on a ‘growing value’ investment style. He also manages the Akteur FP fund. Born in Düsseldorf in 1965, Klein attended Karsruhe University with a year spent studying in the USA at Stanford University. He enjoys travelling and relaxing with his family.
